New Times RP

A semi-serious QBCore city where the call gets dispatched, the report gets written, and the case actually goes to court.

What kind of city

Not a freeroam menu server

New Times RP runs on QBCore. Characters persist, inventories are real, jobs pay into a working economy, and what you own you either bought or earned. There is no vMenu, no spawn-anything sandbox and no god mode — every vehicle on the street belongs to somebody, and every one of them can be pulled over.

Semi-serious means we care about the scene without demanding a novel. Stay in character, keep it believable, and the city will meet you halfway.

Law & order

Six departments, one chain of custody

Policing here runs end to end. An arrest generates evidence, evidence builds a case file, the case file reaches a judge, and a sentence puts you inside Bolingbroke for the length of it.

On duty

  • MDT and dispatch — records, warrants, BOLOs and live calls on a tablet in your hand.
  • Court system — dockets, hearings and case files that read straight from the MDT.
  • Forensics — DNA, fingerprints, ballistics and shell casings collected at the scene.
  • Body cameras — on-body recording with playback.
  • CCTV network — camera coverage across the city.
  • Access control — keycard and rank-gated doors across every station.

Kit

  • Full EUP wardrobe — class A, patrol, tactical, SWAT and corrections uniforms for every department.
  • Evidence lockers — seized property, drug and weapon storage with an audit trail.
  • Custody — cuffs, escort, transport, booking, mugshots and cell assignment.
  • Spike strips, flares and cones for scene management.
  • ID cards, licences and permits that can be checked, suspended and revoked.

The fleet

133 liveried units, wired properly

Marked, slicktop, K9, SWAT, federal, fire, EMS, DOT and tow — each on real emergency lighting with a working siren control head, not a stock light bar with the volume turned up.

Emergency

Marked & unmarked

Chargers, Tahoes, FPIUs, F-150s, Durangos, Explorers and CVPIs — 21 marked patrol units, 21 slicktops and 18 K9 variants, plus federal, marshal and SWAT fleets.

Lighting

Whelen control head

A full siren and lighting controller with staged patterns, takedowns, alleys, cruise mode and manual horn — driven from a proper control panel.

Ownership

Keys are items

Vehicle keys live in your inventory. You can lend them, lose them, or have them lifted — and a locked car genuinely has to be broken into.

Wear

Cars that degrade

Engines, brakes, clutches and tyres wear with mileage. Tyres puncture, blow out on landings, and pick up nails — so servicing is a habit, not a formality.

Trade

Dealerships & garages

Player-run dealerships with test drives and financing, multi-slot garages, impound, and a livery editor for shops that want their own look.

Tuning

Custom handling

Per-vehicle handling, crafted performance parts, class-based speed limits and a physics fix that kills the kerb-boost exploit outright.

The other side

Crime, and the consequence of it

Sixteen scripted heists and robberies, six gangs holding turf, a full drug economy — and a prison sentence waiting at the end of it if the case sticks.

Scores

  • Casino heist
  • Oil rig heist
  • Vangelico
  • Van Khov jewellery
  • Paleto bank
  • Pacific Standard
  • Rockford armory
  • Cash exchange
  • Bobcat Security

  • Store robbery
  • ATM cracking
  • House robbery
  • Truck robbery

Organised

  • Six gangs — The Lost MC, Ballas, Vagos, Families, Triads and the Cartel, each holding contestable turf.
  • Drug economy — growing, processing, packaging and moving product, with buyers who notice heat.
  • Burner phones and a black market to move what you took.
  • Bolingbroke Penitentiary — served sentences, prison labour, contraband and a genuine escape route for anyone patient enough to find it.

Making a living

Legal work that actually pays

Every job below is a real career ladder with grades, payroll and a society account — including the ones you can own outright.

Property

Real estate

A six-grade agency from trainee to director, listing and selling the city's housing stock on commission.

Motor trade

Dealers & mechanics

Vehicle Dealer, LS Customs, Redline and the Auto Garage — sales, servicing, tuning and body work.

Hospitality

Restaurants

Beeker's, Trey Bakery and Spitroasters Meathouse run live tickets, recipes and deliveries with their own books.

Haulage

On the road

Trucking, bus routes, taxi, towing and garbage collection — the routes that keep the city moving.

Outdoors

Fish, hunt, dive

Commercial fishing, licensed hunting, deep diving for salvage, scrapyard stripping and recycling.

Press & leisure

Newsroom & nightlife

A working reporter ladder publishing to an in-city news app, plus street racing, crafting, radio and the gym.

The map

A Los Santos that has been rebuilt

Custom interiors and terrain work throughout, so the places you spend your shift in are worth spending it in.

Civic

  • Rebuilt MRPD and a fully interiored hospital.
  • Courthouse, Rockford Hills PD and FD, and an expanded international airport.
  • Bolingbroke Penitentiary — cell blocks, chapel, study hall and guard tower.
  • New road network — Sandy and Paleto bridges, tunnel connections, river crossings and extended map borders.
  • Postal codes citywide, so dispatch can actually send someone.

Residential

  • 20+ housing interiors — Vinewood mansions, hillside villas, the casino penthouse, beach houses and apartment stock.
  • Buy, furnish and lock your own place, with garages attached.
  • Shells and MLOs for businesses, gangs and departments to claim as their own.
